Face 1: Good integration of the eyes. The hair looks a bit floaty, need to adjust the edge shadows. Pull the entire face down or recrop.
Face 2: Values on the hair/face need to be equalized a bit more, the background color is fighting with the green, so I'd choose another. Good integration of the skin texture.
with the first face I do agree that the hair looks floaty. But also the color and the lighting on the lips are throwing me off... they kinda look like a sticker. the eyes however are very nice!
The second one has a great skin texture, though I personally don't like the red you chose for the eyes, especially with the color green you used... I would do a more orange red than a SUPER red.
face 1: I like the hairstyle your selected.. but it just needs a little work to make it feel like it's more attached to the head. Oh, and her right eye, our left - it's probably just me, but I would suggest expanding the color a little more into the black areas. It sort of feels like there's a hole there.
Face 2: The red eyes and green skin scares me. :) I think you've done a nice job on this one. My only suggestion would be ... turn down the bright spot in the middle of her head.
